Golden hour is kindest almost year-round in Tulsa. Fall color and spring green photograph especially well. Summer works if we start early or late to dodge harsh noon light. Winter is great for clean portraits and city light — just dress warmer than you think. Tell me your preferred month on the contact form and I’ll match light to the vibe you want.

Wear what feels like you. Solids and simple textures beat loud logos and busy patterns. Bring a second layer or outfit if we’re doing Deluxe or longer. For couples/families, coordinate tones (not matching outfits). I’ll send a short packing note after we lock the date.

That’s normal — and it’s why my sessions work the way they do. I spent over a decade as a pro scooter athlete in front of other people’s cameras, including Worlds in Barcelona. I know how weird “say cheese” feels. We’ll move, laugh, and use simple prompts so the photos feel like you, not a stiff pose set.

Yes, if they’re comfortable outside and you’re okay wrangling them. Pets are great for candid energy. Mention it when you book so we pick a pet-friendly spot and pace.

Yes. I regularly shoot Tulsa and surrounding areas (Broken Arrow, Jenks, Owasso, Claremore, and nearby). Farther travel is fine with a simple travel fee — ask when you inquire.

We pick for light, story, and how you move — parks, river, downtown, Pearl/Arts District, or somewhere that already means something to you. Deluxe includes up to two nearby locations. Premium can roam further.

If weather looks unusable, we’ll reschedule at no drama. Light rain or overcast can actually look beautiful on film and digital — we’ll decide together the morning of.

Life happens. Message or text (918) 641-4948 as soon as you can and we’ll move the date. Deposits and timing details will be in your booking note.

Most digital galleries land within about 7–14 days. Film takes longer because of processing and scanning — I’ll give you a clear window when we book. Need something faster for a deadline? Tell me up front.

Private online gallery for viewing and download. Deluxe and Premium include print rights. Film sessions include high-res scans in the gallery (see film packages for printing rights by tier).

Yes — either as a dedicated film session (Analog Taster, Storyteller, Heirloom) or we can talk about blending film into a longer digital day. See the 35mm film page for the full menu.

Yes. Five frames from my own 35mm rolls are available as 8×10 archival inkjet prints, made at a pro lab, for $48 with US shipping included. They’re open edition. See the film prints.

Pick a print and pay $48 on Stripe. Checkout asks for your name and US shipping address, then I send the order to the lab and it ships to you.

Every print is made to order and ships in about 2–5 business days, then usually arrives 3–4 business days later anywhere in the US. Arrives damaged or misprinted? Email a photo of the whole print to capturesbyjc@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery for a free reprint, with no need to send it back.
